The OLAG meeting last night went very well, there was a great turn out and the presenter was fun and personable. I was also able present and get feedback on the new logo designs (see below).
After the last post with the logo samples I got to wondering how they would look on top of the one of the new website headers. I wasn’t sure what I thought, so what you see below includes one of my original favorites and some new ones.
The majority chose the second one, also my original favorite.

I recently saw something about the subconscious associations we form in regard to logos, and among the points it made are that the upper-right quadrant seems “positive”, and that diagonal lines going from lower left to upper right imply improvement, like on a graph. With that in mind, it’s not so surprising that the second one was a favorite.
