Best of Show

Today was the reception for the Oak Leaf Holiday Show and “Skull” won third place. As the last award was being announced Ola was talking on stage about loving horses and agreeing with the judge’s choice, and I’m thinking that can’t be any of mine because I don’t have any horses – trying to remember which pieces in the show did; so it was quite a shock when she called my name! The piece chosen has a billy goat and a cowboy, I guess that was close enough to a horse, because “Cowboy Tales” won Best of Show!

On December the 8th myself and some fellow resident artists are going to be at Framations for a special holiday celebration. We will have prints and new works for sale under $100 just for the holidays, so come in and see us.

Exhibits in the Holiday Season

I contacted Art St. Louis regarding the note mentioned in the last post, and I’m so glad that I did. I was offered an opportunity to exhibit in the Fleishman Hillard Building downtown; and while the exhibit won’t be open to the general public, I’ll have a floor to myself in “a leading global marketing and corporate communications company” – at the peak holiday shopping season!

Next week I’m helping with the receiving for the Oak Leaf Holiday Show at St. Peters Art Center, and I really hope to find some work for that as well. It’s going to be a stretch, and I really need to get to work, but the sense of accomplishment is well worth it.
