I just saw an episode of "This Old House", where they were doing something with PVC moldings. (They were actually making their own, and didn't show it being installed)

Perhaps that's what you got?

If it is, some PVC cement from over in the plumbing section ought to work. Test it on some of the scraps you have left over. Otherwise, I'd go for overkill with two-part epoxy.
